registration
Definition
- Person in Charge (PIC) is a representative of an institution who handles the registration process and responsible for the participants. The Person in Charge can be the supervisor/coach/teacher of the participants, or the participants themselves.
- Registration Field is for the Person in Charge (PIC) to book and register the number of total participants in each competitive field.
- Our working days are from Monday to Friday, excluding Christmas, New Years, and other national holidays in Indonesia.
Eligibility
- Participants will be eligible to participate in The 2022 Asian English Olympics if they are 15 to 23 years old and are enrolled in senior high school (10th grade or above) or university. Students who are eligible to take part at the beginning of the competition will be eligible to participate until the end of the competition. The PIC of each institution will be responsible for this provision.
- Each institution can only send a maximum of 3 people or teams per field of competition.
- Radio Drama and Short Story Writing will be run in different timelines from others. So, each participant may only join one main competition (Speech, Debate, Storytelling, Newscasting, and Spelling bee) and two side competitions (Radio Drama and Short Story Writing)
- Past champions of the Asian English Olympics are not allowed to join the same competition field that they have won before. But, they are allowed to join other competition fields.
Registration
- Each institution registration must be done by their assigned Person in Charge (PIC).
- We only provide online registration through our website. The PIC must follow the registration steps provided in the "Register Now" headline banner.
- The PIC can register or add new slots as long as the registration period for the concerned field is still open.
- To facilitate the payment process, it is recommended that each institution only registered on one representative account. Multiple accounts for each institution are allowed only if the same institution has different PIC. However, be sure to keep in mind that each institution can only send a maximum of 3 people or teams per field of competition.
- The 2022 Asian English Olympics competition is fully personal funded, which means that the organizer does not cover any expenses for the participants. However, because all participants are on (the) behalf of their institution, you may request The 2022 Asian English Olympics Official Invitation Letter and Proposal.
You can request them by clicking the link in the “Request Invitation Letter” section or sending us an e-mail. Through the letter and proposal, we hope that your expenses would be covered by your institution.
